Thanks Elizabeth (and KNO3 and everybody else)! Sorry I haven't updated recently, but I've been busy with the launch of "King of RPGs". However, I should still be able to complete "Strange High House" by the year's end.

A friend pointed me to this webcomic. I am not much of a horror fan, but I am quite amazed by your artwork, and I am finding this story more appealing than usual for Lovecraft's work. I have linked to the first page from my LiveJournal.

Dear Asgaard and everybody else -- I'm sorry for the new, unannounced delay. This week and last week I've been working on storyboards for an animation project, which needs to be completed on a tight deadline. So I've had to put everything else aside and concentrate on that for the moment. Thanks for your kind words -- please hang in there and I'll try to get a page up sometime on the week after September 25th!

I hope all is well with you and your household. I have been awaiting the next installment with barely contained eagerness and wonder why the lapse. As I origonally said, I am thrilled with your intepritation, the graphics are mostly like I'd envisioned them (I will admit that I'd pictured the man being tall and heavyset with simple garb and a full beard but I have no problems with your concept--in fact the 17th century garb fits well with Lovecraft's love of antiquities). I hope to see more soon, as I check every day for an update.
Lovecraft has been a major influence in my own writing, (major Fantasy novel to be submitted by the end of the year) and I've even got my 16 year old son hooked, which is no small feat in a culture, where the immagation has been hijacked by the instant gratification of television. I will admit that he's been an avid reader ever sence I gave him my old copy of H. G. Wells "War of the Worlds when he was in fourth grade (Yes, his reading skills are and have always been far ahead of the curve).
Have you ever considered doing a graphic representation of "The Color Out of Space" ? (the movie version sucked) It was the first Lovecraft story I read, at the tender age of 14 years old--a loooong time ago. It had a profound effect on me. In fact, when I looked out of the window on a windy autumn night and saw the naked branches of a tree moving against the full moon, it frightened me.
Sorry about the long discourse. I fervently hope to be able to continue being immersed in your vision in the near future, good luck.
" A fair wind, a calm sea and a welcome landfall to ye." as they say in Jellsven.

@Esn -- Sorry I didn't reply to your email, my sincere apologies. I've revised my earlier estimate of finishing the Dream-Quest graphic novel by the end of 2009... I don't think it'll be possible to get it all together in time, due to my other comic commitments. But I'm hoping to have "Strange High House" completed by the end of October, and "Celephais" hopefully not long after that. It's looking more like a 2010 release at the moment.

By the way, I sent you an email but you never replied... is there still a plan to release a "Kadath" graphic novel this winter?
