Dear Asgard -- thanks for the kind words! I'm from San Francisco myself (although I recently got back from an incredible trip to Washington) and I love the seacliffs of the west coast. They've definitely influenced my visual interpretation of Lovecraft's scenery, giving it a sort of rocky Pacific flavor as opposed to the somewhat milder looks of the real New England coast.

This ranks, at least to me, as one of tne most lyrical, descriptive pieces of opening prose ever written. It evokes images that take me back to my youth, when I would sit at the picture window of a house perched high on a hill, looking over a small town on the Pacific Northwest coast and watch the evening fog roll in. When, in my later years, I decided to try my hand at writing a novel in the heroic fantasy genre, the images dalled up in my mind by this passage moved me to create a small seaport city on the north coast of the Island where the action takes place. I only riecently found your site and I find your interpritation to be spot on. First class work, thank you.

Thanks Gavin! It's good to hear from you again. I don't think I'll be doing "Strange High House" as a minicomic by itself (at least, I don't have plans right now), but I will be doing a print collection of all my Lovecraft comics in one book at the end of the year. I'll post more about it as it's finalized!

I'm very happy to see this new Lovecraftian work from the very talented Mr. Thompson. I fear that if I hinted at how eager I have been to see this new work, I might tread very close to the impression of impatience. The best things in life take time to develop, so we must be grateful. Keep up the great work! I'm ready to order a stack of copies of Strange High House, would vitamins help speed things up?

Breathtaking! I've greatly enjoyed your previous Lovecraftian/Smithian efforts, and this seems even more refined and evolved. Thank you.
