I should mention, if only for trivia’s sake, that one of my favorite computer games at the time I discovered Lovecraft’s fiction was the Commodore 64 game Adventure Construction Set. I spent day after day after school making adventures based on H.P. Lovecraft’s stories. One of them, The Journey, is available here for any retrogamers who have the masochism to play an 8-bit game with four-color graphics (including black — so red, green, blue, black). Many days in Junior High were spent with Gary Myers’ “The House of the Worm”, Chaosium’s “H.P. Lovecraft’s Dreamlands” and Adventure Construction Set. Ah, nostalgia…
