The Doom That Came to Sarnath, Page 4
It’s a day late, but it’s up! I might make a few changes to this page at some point in the future. Perhaps it has images Lovecraft wouldn’t have included, and out of keeping with a Dreamlands tale (or let’s at least say a Dreamlands/Mythic story), but it’ll all make sense at the end of the story.
Since I’m posting this page on Wednesday, I’ll be posting my usual Monday-Wednesday-Friday Lovecraft sketches on Thursday and Friday this week. In other news, unfortunately, I’ll be out out of town for a few weeks, so I won’t be able to put up any new page of Sarnath — but the sketches will continue! I’ll finally return to my usual Sarnath schedule with page 5 on Tuesday, June 19th.
Please forgive the wait! I’ll be bringing you more frog-people vs. human action before you know it! And in the meantime I’ll be working on Mystery Lovecraft Project X. While I’m gone, sate your thirst for the horrific by listening to yog-sothoth.com, or HP Podcraft, or The Double Shadow. Talk to you all soon!

How long does a page like this take you to complete? Seems like it would take ages. Amazing detail. Wow, those guys in the last panel… insult to injury!
Thanks, glad you like it! As for the last panel, from the Bible, 2 Kings 10:27: “They smashed the sacred pillar and wrecked the temple of Baal, converting it into a public toilet, as it remains to this day.”
I thought this tale was from the unknown prehistoric past, not a Dream Lands story. Maybe they just flow into each other. I know a drawing like that could take many hours to finally complete. But it is a labor of love.
I think your Beings of Ib look rather cute, especially the little ones. All the more terrible that the humans should slaughter them.
