The Doom That Came to Sarnath, Page 2
Another page of “The Doom That Came to Sarnath” complete! I really love this story: I could draw grass and marshes and amphibian creatures all day. Drawing this page also took me on several interesting web searches on the subject of monolithic architecture and prehistoric Europe.
The next page will go up a week from now. It’s looking like the whole story will be 20 pages, so it’ll be done at the end of August or the beginning of September. My other current projects include Mystery Lovecraft Story X and, also, a new storyline in King of RPGs. If you haven’t checked out my other graphic novel yet, the first two volumes are now available on iTunes and Nook, so go forth and read it! I promise lots of RPG action and black humor, written by me, with art by my friend Victor Hao. They even play Call of Cthulhu in the second volume, so it’s pseudo-Lovecrafty! See you next week!
I have nothing to say here, except to say that this is very well-drawn and I’ve no complaints. Love all the details. The body of the fellow in the 3rd panel is indeed not very pleasant to behold.
Well, maybe a tiny complaint – in the 2nd-last panel, the moon doesn’t seem to be gibbous as the text says.
Never mind, actually, it does seem like it might be a TINY bit gibbous. :)
Gibbous-leaning-towards-full. ;)
Ibsolutely delightful!
I love your artwork and find it to be Lovecraftian itself. Well done. Hope to one day get the printed versions of your work to go with my collections of written stories.
@Night-Gaunt – Thanks!! Right now I still have about 100 hardcover Dream-Quests left. I’m not sure if I’m going to print Sarnath after it’s done… hmm…
I love that touch in the last panel – the ceremony of the funeral – it adds a more sympathetic eye to Ib.
