New Nyarko-san Article

by Jason Thompson on March 28, 2012 at 9:37 am

Hey all! I’ve got a new article over on Crunchyroll titled Who The Heck is Nyarlathotep, Anyway? If you’re already reading this blog, you may think you know the answer, but browse over to discover the connections between a tentacle-headed Other God and silver-haired girl with an ahoge.

Emerald City Comic Con

by Jason Thompson on March 27, 2012 at 9:20 am

For those who dwell in the Pacific Northwest, the green and rainy land beyond the great cataract: I’ll be at Seattle’s Emerald City Comic Con this weekend (March 30-April 2)!

I’ll be at booth P-18! Come on by and check out the Dreamlands poster in full size in real life, as well as Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath graphic novels (which, BTW, if you can’t make it to Seattle, are also still available from Diamond Comics Distributors — plug plug). See you there!

Animals Love Dream-Quest

by Jason Thompson on March 23, 2012 at 9:09 am

It’s true: all creatures of nature love The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath! It’s got more good speaking parts for animals and monsters than for humans, after all. For cats, the patriotic scenes of cat-on-zoog and cat-on-moonbeast battle doubtless inspire its own imagination with visions of future nocturnal combat. (Leong, thanks for the photo!)

But dogs, too, love the Dreamlands! There’s no need for bigoted, racially inflammatory Cats vs. Dogs rhetoric! Ghouls are just like big leprously decomposing man-dogs, anyway! Thanks to the awesome supporter who posted this photo on twitter!
