Yes the mingling of the mists and foretold doom that is coming to Sarnath. (Not to be confused with the Sarnath of Baharat aka India.) Where the fleeting arrogance of man will be smashed and swept away by larger, older forces.
I love how you drew the cityscape diagonally in the final panel. Vertigo and impending collapse. :)
It’s impressive how your judicious use of halftone in panel 3 can conjure up the merry sounds of revelry spilling out from the dockyard buildings.
My copy of Dreamquest came the other day and I’m enjoying it very, very much. I love the detail and minuttia you packed in tot he panels.
I thought the same thing as Ken when I saw that panel.
