Sorry I’m late! We did something huge last week — it wasn’t just Emerald City Comic-Con, it was the launch of our new Kickstarter, Mangaka: The Fast & Furious Game of Drawing Comics!

“Mangaka” spun out of an absurdist idea for a roleplaying game that I had, years ago, but over many playtests and countless rules iterations it morphed into the drawing/card game it is today. This isn’t a game that’s just for artists, or a game just for hardcore manga/anime nerds. I’m super proud of it, and I think you’ll like it too. Check out the Kickstarter page for more info, and please tell everyone!

In the meantime, I’m still rushing around with conventions and the game, so here’s some “The Stiff” key art by way of intermission. I drew this as a potential “The Stiff” T-shirt design way back in the day. Maybe I’ll show some of the other, weirder designs later.

Jumana and I will be up for Seattle this coming weekend at Sakuracon, the anime/manga convention we’ve always loved. We’ll be running Mangaka in the RPG room and showing off some neat stuff at our booth. Come on by, visit us, show us your comics and play a game!
